Bill
Norlin brings over 45 years of real-life hands-on woodwork
experience to his seminars. Hands-on experience as: Woodworker/Installer,
Supervisor, Manager, Owner, and Consultant (in-plant consulting
since 1976). Bill Norlin has studied scores of manufacturing
companies, broad ranges of product mix and manufacturing methods,
financial information, marketing techniques, and thouroughly explored
the whole concept approach to successful shop management.
Bill's consulting, writing, and seminars have generated tremendous
positive feed-back. Operational questions have been refined and
clarified. We can now share the knowledge and experience of many
woodworkers. Bill Norlin, is first of all, a woodworker. After
that he is teacher, author, and consultant. He has handled every
task and responsibility in a woodwork manufacturing plant, from
the loading dock, all the way into the corner office. Author and
publisher of the book, The Business of Woodwork, Bill also
published a monthly newsletter, and been a presenter in many seminars.
He has done In-Plant Consulting for more than nineteen years,
and knows, personally, many of the most successful woodworkers
in the country. He has studied engineering at three universities,
but says he learned the woodwork business in the best possible
place: right in the plant! He's ready to share his many years
of experience, along with knowledge gained in his own plant, and
many other plants.
